Hi everyone!  I'm new to posting on the boards, but have been reading the boards since taking over as VBS director 4 years ago (does that mean I'm a stalker?? haha).  Our church has used Group for at least the last 7 years without even looking around at other programs.  I love the improvements in the last couple of years especially this year with the web toybox.  I do have a question tho -- When I am accessing the groups to "assign crews", the children that signed up in Nursery (we use for our 3-year olds) are not there.  How do I get a listing of these children?  Thanks for your help!!

Can someone from Group address this? I am having a hard time with this, too. None of my nursery kiddos are showing up. A similar post was created a month or so ago and I never saw any resolution to the problem. Did I miss a post? Thanks!

Since there doesn't seem to be an answer to this question and it's been brought up before, I think I will go in and change all my "nursery" enrollees to 6th graders (our VBS is open up to 5th grade) so I can access their information.  I thought of changing them to "youth", but notice I will not be able to access them under that either.  Unless someone from Group can address this, I guess that's what I'll be doing to solve my issue.

Thanks!

I wish I could help but I don't know much of anything about how it works.  I did send Group an email and hopefully someone will be able to give you an answer.

Thanks so much, Cindy. We accept thru 6th grade at our VBS, so the above is not an option for us. Surely this is a fix-able glitch.

Unfortunately with our 2007 version of the Web Toy Box, you have to export all your participants into Excel to create a nursery (or youth) crew. Once the participant are exported, try sorting by the age group category to make things easier on yourself.

Kim,

Thanks -- that works.  I just really like the way the printout of the other crews is set-up versus the excel sheet.  But, I can work with it that's for sure!!  Thanks for addressing the problem.  I LOVE the web toybox -- it has made registration so much easier for us -- we have about 250 kids each year for VBS.

While it may not be the best option, we setup all of our nursery children as preschoolers.  We then had a "nursery crew" setup.  We then manually assigned the nursery aged children to the nursery crew.  This works, expecially since you can put more than 5 children in a crew if you have more than 5 in your nursery.  This way, you can track their attendance too...

We also did this for the teens/preteens that were assisting.  We had to put them as 6th graders and assign them to the "helper crew".  This is okay if you don't have tons of kids.  We had about 40 kids, so it wasn't too bad doing manual assignments on the crews for this.
