| Kansans! Kansans!
It is so great to see some fellow friends from the Sunflower State! I remember being the only Kansans other than Twyla in Topeka. Now there are many of us here. I live in Greensburg by Dodge City. About 5 hours from you all, but I am always in Overland Park or Kansas City, traveling and campaigning.
Great to see ya,
Justin |

| | Justin, When is your VBS? We are actively looking for a church to share props with. Our VBS is June 11-15. We are in Stilwell, KS just a hop, skip and a jump away from OP. Aimee |

| | Aimee: Sorry for not replying. All of our VBS materials were destroyed in the tornado, so we did not have VBS. It would have been this week. Justin |

| | Carole, we will be in the KC area the week you are doing VBS (doing kids crusades and teacher training). I would love to come and see your VBS. Are you doing it in the morning or evening? |

| | I have a backdrop (like the one on the cover of the training video) and an Avalanche Ranch large sign to give to a church to use for decoration. Both items are made of foam core board. I do not have a way to transport them (they are quite large....we used them for our sanctuary decor) so you would have to come and pick up. Anyone interested? It will be available after June 17th. | Aimee- I just emailed you. Just wondering about your location, we share decorations with several churches so it would go to good use.
Thanks -Jane |

| | Justin & others in Kansas: It breaks my heart about the tornado that hit Greensburg and other areas of your state. Being your neighbors to the north and being very aware of how much devastation there was, our VBS mission this year was using our offerings to help Greensburg. Our pastor challenged the children and set a goal of $1000 for them -- in return he would do something crazy (actually he went to local roper and was rope and tied; video taped for the kids to watch on the last night). We will meet and exceed our goal -- the money will go through Lutheran Relief and be earmarked specifically for Greensburg. Also we are coordinating to have the prayer bears our kids have made to go to the children of Greensburg. Tonight is our last night of VBS and I expect we'll surpass our offering goal!! Know that our thoughts and prayers are with your community. huskermom |

| Howdy everyone! I'm new to this forum. Have been lurking actually for a little while. Got some great ideas off of here. Thanks to everyone! I was helping out the Coordinator for our decorations and the recreation. We just finished our VBS here in Wichita, Kansas at Westlink Christian Church. I have some homemade signs (by me, hehe), that are made out of plywood that we used as the seating areas for our pews. These to were help the kids know where and who to sit with their groups. It's a fairly large church so I have 10 signs. There are Cowboy Hat, Cowboy Boot, Spur, Bandana, Cactus, Horseshoe, Belt Buckle, and 3 more that I for some reason can't remember off the top of my head, LOL! Guess I'm tired. We then divided each of these 10 groups into 5 colors (We had over 300 kiddos). These do not have stands anymore, but they could be hung, or whatever you would like to do. I am offering them to anyone who would like to use them. I would hate to see them go to waste. If you would like a picture of one of them, let me know, and I'll take one and send it to you. Thanks!
-Cherie |
