Hi all,

Please pray for John's mom, Harriet.  She fell and is in the hospital again.  She is having more and more of a hard time being home and not being able to care for herself.  She sais she is 'fine' but her children are worried about her.

Please pray for her to be able to come home and perhaps a more solid home plan can be put in place, mom is 76 and does not like change.

Thanks everyone...I'll keep y'all posted.

Have said a prayer for Harriet. May the Lord bring healing and strength and may she find peace in knowing that you all care and mean well.

Thank you for your prayers.  Mom has been moved to a nice place w/ a rehab floor.  In 4-6 weeks if she works hard she can rehabilitate and come home.

She does not like it (it's a nursing home) but it's best for her.

Please pray for her to accept this; and for a quick 4-6 weeks.

Thanks so much.

Donna,

My prayers are with you and mom. Think of something she really likes or likes to do and put that as the goal to work towards. It will make the time go faster and she will get to go home and get a special treat, too.

Well, mom is loving it at the nursing home.  She calls me almost everyday to tell me what's for dinner and what her activities were.  Yesterday they brought in a miniture pony with tennis shoes on.  Four of them!!  (shoes, not ponies)

She has lost almost 20 pounds and is feeling really really good.  Praise God.

Thanks for all those who prayed for mom.

PTL! What great and comforting news. Seems like a great new experience for mom. I am sure she will be a blessing  to all around her as well.
