So many things to be excited/freaked out about, VBS is in 2 weeks and vacation is coming up. BUT, today is my sister-in-laws bday and while any other time I would wish her a happy birthday I find myself being completly in the flesh and not wanting too, the reason? Friday (June 1) was my only child's birthday and no phone call from half my family to wish her a happy birthday, I don't care if they don't send a card but here is my issue, my sis-in-law whose birthday is today makes her own handmade cards and didn't even send my daughter one, I am so trying not to be bitter but its hard when my daughter is asking me if she has done something wrong that nobody (except for my parents, hubbys parents and my sister) called her to tell her happy birthday. She doesn't care that she didn't get a card or presents. I found myself up late last night so bitter about it not knowing what to do. To me it just sounds petty. please pray that the Lord will take this bitterness away.... My focus needs to be back onto the Works at hand. Thanks

We always hurt worse when it's our kids that are hurt. Praying for you and the situation.

Keeping you in my prayers.

Happy Birthday to your daughter...its a little late but full of God's Love.
Yea another Gemini! Tell her we are very special as we have two sides to us and I pray God will show her how special she is and will help her to forgive those who caused her to hurt.

God Bless

Happy birthday to her. Let your daughter know that sometimes adults get busy with life and forget to let the special people around them know that they love them. They are so special that they just assume that it is known and plan to wait until later then it get later and they forgot.

A belated birthday filled with lots of love and blessings from PJ.

Remind her that the one who created her gave her the best birthday present ever, his son Jesus, and the most wonderful card to open everyday and read about his love, the Bible! Also tell her that his gift included a very special person to share every birthday with, you!

May your spirit be uplifted and may you find peace and joy in the fountain from which all blessings flow! Don't let the enemy use bitterness to steal your joy, that is his job. Our job is to make it bitter for him by loving, forgiving and praying for those who hurt/persecute us.

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Michelle,

I am praying for you.  I know what you are going through.  My own mother will go and do for all her grandkids (my sis has 3 and one is one day younger than my son) and her brothers grandkids and when it comes to my kids well she always has something else....but you know what I just give my kids an extra hug and it hurts and I am sure that they do not understnad why but they know that mommy and daddy love them and I try not to even make her a big part of their life.  It is really hard, I echo that again but you know what in the end your sis inlaw and everyone else is going to miss out.

With prayer,
Lynette

Sigh, I know that it must hurt, but I'm horrible about remembering to send cards and usually forget to call on that day. Doesn't mean I don't care, it just means that I forgot. Infact, shoot, you just reminded me that my husbands nephews birthday was May 15th and the cards are still sitting here. sigh.

I'm not trying to make excuses for your family or myself, but just wanted to let you know that it might not be intentional. I'm sorry.
