Here is the link to the illustrated step-by-step instructions for making my giant tissue paper Sunflowers.

Spelling out all the steps make them look a little complicated at first but after making a couple you will be able to whip them out in about 5 or 6 minutes each.

If you have any problems or questions after giving them a try please feel free to PM me for help.

The only problem I had in making these was readily finding brown tissue paper. I had seen it around in the past but of course when I needed it I could not find it. Oriental Trading had some so I added it to our VBS order. Another option which I purchased from a dollar store before finding the OT brown was a dark metallic gold tissue that looks brownish. I will probably still use it on a few of them.

Oh, and don't use crepe paper to make these. I learned that the hard way for Bug Safari. The crepe paper flowers drooped beyond recognition in a matter of hours because of the humid weather! The tissue ones held up beautifully all week long and even got passed on to several other churches.

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Thank you so much for sharing these awesome flowers. I've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of these directions to pass on to my elderly ladies who like to do this each year for me.
