Peggy,

Movie maker is nice for video, but for still pictures I prefer PhotoStory 3. It is much easier to use and you can easily zoom and pan your pictures. (I also found that Movie Maker died unexpectedly on me a lot!) If you are mixing pictures and video, it's nice to use PhotoStory for the stills, create a "movie" then import that movie into movie maker with your videos. (Unless you are mixing them up a lot picture, video, picture,video...then this isn't practical...only if you are doing a series of pictures a little video, more pictures a little video...)

Of course, if you are willing to spend money there are plenty of better stuff out there than can do all sorts of stuff! And I'm sure someone around here knows of other free products to use for this purpose.

Hi, I've done a few PP slide shows.  The visible sound icon - to hide it go to "Slide Show" click Custom Animation.  A side bar shows up on the right side.  Right click the name of the sound clip - a box will appear over the slide.  Click the tab "Sound Settings" . Here there is an option to "Hide" the icon - check it and exit box.  You will see the icon in the editing mode - but when you show the slide show it is hidden.

Does everyone know about the "PRESENTER VIEW" when running the slide show.  I believe day 2 and day 5 are run manually while listening to the CD.  In this view you can view thumb nails down the left side of the lap top screen, see what is being projected, and the notes added by group below.  The thumb nails do not show on the screen.

Just wanted to say that the Spotlight Drama was one of the highlights of our VBS.  I had the privilege of being the photographer and tech guy this year.  The kids had a blast doing the crazy poses.  I had fun with them, especially when they had no clue what the pictures were going to be about.  I had no problems with the audio patch while using PP 2000.  It was almost disappointing that the slideshow only lasted a couple minutes, but the kids--and adults all enjoyed their moment on the screen.  I think one of the favorite shots is the kid coming out of the toilet.  It just caught everyone off guard and caused a great laugh.

The Spotlight Drama was a great new addition to a great VBS package.

In God's service, Jon

Hello,

I also have a question for Day 3.  On slide 18 the manual states that the audio will say "Then Joshua gave the command (pause), and all the Israelites shouted!"  However the audio on the CD has children shouting.  This is also the same for slides 19 and 20.  My question is:  Should the audio state the above sentence as the manual states for slide 18?  If so, how can I fix this?

Thank you!!!

I have tried to fix it using your instructions a couple times, but now I think I need a new sound file.  The sound file on the VBS disk has the same shouting sound instead of the words.  Where do I get a new sound file for SLIDE 18.2.aif?

Thank you!!

OH!  That would be kind of important, eh?

Here's the place to download the file.  Let me know if it gives you problems.  Just email me if it does and I'll send you the file tomorrow!
