Last week I sent a few invitations to our AR to school with my son Joshua. It was the postcard I had ordered from Vista Print. Here is a copy.

FRONT   BACK

I was expecting opposition and had all my website links, including recent court rulings, at hand. Well, as expected Joshua came back home saying that he was told he could not hand them out. First, his teacher said she was not sure and that he should talk to the principal. At the principal's office the secretary told him he couldn't because it had the word "God" in it! I was outraged, but as I stated earlier I expected that. So I contacted the Superintendent of the local board of Ed and requested a copy and explanation of their policy regarding distribution of printed material by nonprofit organizations, specifically churches. I also told him that under the advise of The American Center for Law and Justice  I was to get his response first before proceeding with any legal action. I also included a copy of the Equal Access Act and a copy detailing the legal rights of students in the Public School system, which included reference to the right to distribute literature with religious contents (page 5). Needless to say he responded in about two days and told me it was fine to distribute the cards. He also said to make sure I had enough to give out to the entire school!!!!

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Wonderful things can happen when you stick to your guns and have your homework done.  Be sure to let us know how this all turns out.

PJ, I was able to send a flyer invite per elementary kid/5 schools/ 2 districts/ 1800+ flyers!

I have gotten 17 registrations!!

It is nice to be able to distribute.  We are a very small NH community; but still have the same challenges.

Maybe I'll get more walk-ins!
