Please keep my aunt in your prayers.  Last Tuesday she got sick and thought that it was a virus.  She couldn't keep anything down including liquids.  My mom took her to the ER and they admitted her to the hospital.  They finally did a stomack scope this Tuesday to find out that she had a piece of fried okra lodged in the opening of her stomach.  She hasn't had any of her medication since last Tuesday (a week ago) and has developed pneumonia.  By the time they finally got her to ICU Wednesday, she was not responsive.  They put a C-pap on her and things were looking up yesterday.  She was responsive and was holding liquids down.  My mom just called and said that she had a turn for the worse mid-morning today.  They had to put an arterio line into her heart so they could check her blood pressure and blood gases, her breathing is not good and apparently her only kidney is not working right.  They are giving her blood.  My mom and my kids are not handling well at all.  My mom will not leave the hospital and my kids don't understand why they can't see their Nicey.  Her name is Denice.  Please keep her in your prayers and remember my mom and my kids.  Thank you so much for your prayers.  I will keep you updated when I can.

They are sending my aunt to a larger hospital where there are more specialists to work with her.  They may have to start dialysis during this crisis situation.  I'll continue to keep everyone updated when I know something.  Thank you so much for your prayers.

Jaime,

Keeping you, your Aunt and kids in my prayers. May the Lord touch your Aunt with his healing hands and guide the doctors to find ways to help her.

Thanks for keeping us posted. Also know that we are praying for you to be able to explain everything to your children so that they know that God is watching over your aunt.

Jaime,

I have said a prayer for your aunt and trust the God has heard. May he give comfort and peace to the whole family as you too trust that he is in control and will take care of her.

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

I just got a call from my mom.  My aunt is doing a little better.  Her blood pressure this morning at 5:30 was 90/60.  It was 45/20 last night when they transported her to another hospital.  They are changing some of the antibiotics because one of them is one that they have to do blood work on check levels in her kidney before they start a new bag of the medicine.  They are going to wait 48 to 72 hours to see if her kidney starts to function and then make a decision about dialysis.  She is still critical.  Please continue to lift her up in your prayers and I appreciate your prayers that have already been lifted.  You are greatly appreciated.  She is still on the B-pap machine.  Thanks again.

I just want to thank everyone who has been praying for my aunt and my family.  Please continue to pray.  My aunt is out of ICU and has been moved to a continued care rehab hospital that is in a hospital.  Her kidney has started working again and they did not have to start dialisis, her liver is working correctly and healing, the pneumonia and UTI are cleared up, her blood pressure and blood gases are where they should be, and the sepsis has been arrested.  She had to have a tracheotomy but is not dependent on the vent to breathe all the time and has no problem swallowing.  She gets to start eating solid foods again today.  The doctors are still not sure if the trache will be a permanent thing.  We are praying that it won't be.  She has been fitted with a device that goes over the trache so she can talk.  My kids got to see her last night for the first time since she has been out of ICU.  Please continue to keep her and my kids in your prayers.  We have been dealing with behavior problems with my kids.  God still performs miracles.  I didn't believe that my aunt would make it through this.  God has brought her through this for a reason.  Thank you again for your prayers.

I want to continue to thank everyone for their prayers for my aunt.  She is still in the hospital but is out of ICU.  Her kidney is putting out like it should and all the counts have leveled off.  She is eating solids and improving everyday.  One of the specialists thinks now that she may have had congestive heart failure instead of sepsis.  Please continue to keep her in your prayers for a complete recovery.  Please continue to keep my kids in your prayers.  They are doing better but are still having problems with not getting to see her nor my mom everyday.  Thank you again for all the prayers.  She had been a testament to the fact that God hears prayers.
