| My cousin's daughter (my godchild) has been having mouth/teeth problems for awhile. She went through some agonizing procedures without anesthesia but has continued to have problems. She is having more work done today even. She also has an infection of some sort in her mouth/face that they are trying to treat. They have done a CT scan and blood work and, if I'm understanding right, 6 of 7 benchmarks are making them think this is cancer and very aggressive. They have repeated the blood tests and are awaiting results. The doctor will either tell her to keep an appt next week with a specialist dentist three hours away, or they will tell her not to spend her time there. She is 18 and has a 22-month-old who doesn't understand why mommy hurts. Our family is very familiar with how aggressive some cancers can be ... four years ago my dad had x-rays at Thanksgiving that showed a mass, surgery a week later showed cancer had spread rapidly, and he died two weeks later. Please keep Jessica in your prayers.

Rene, I have said a prayer for Jessica and child. They are both so young and in need of each other. I pray that the hand of God be upon Jessica and upon the doctors as they work to find a remedy for this ailment. Keep us posted.
