Howdy y'all!

We have completed days 1 and 2 and they have been great!  Our first day was an extra wild ride... Registrations are tough and then OUR POWER WENT OUT for the last station & the showtime roundup.  We had a cowboy campfire sing along...  My kids even thought we had planned it since we had a singing cowboy on board and our flashlights were already part of the lesson.  They LOVED the scary Wild Bible Adventures, and we all love the line dancing.

Day 2 was even better - we had more kids - everyone's homework assignment was to bring a friend or 2.  Many did.  They got really wet at Horseplay Games and also loved walking in the Jordan River.  Can't wait til tomorrow when they work on the bears.

Here are a few photos of our decorations...  Such great ideas on this place.  Thanks for all your contributions.

Laura, everytime I see your church name I wonder if someone else from our church (River of Life Assembly) is posting!

BTW, great photos. Thank for sharing. I will add the link to the Groupies AR album.

I love the boots and horse shoes hanging from the ceiling. Where did you buy those or did you make them?
Your VBS looks wonderful!

THe decorations look great!  I start decorating on Monday.

How did you get the Buddy posters to stick?  Did you use foam or cardboard?

Also, what website did you use for the silhouettes?

Thanks! I'm so glad y'all like them... we finished last night and took everything down.  It looks so boring now!

We got the boots and horseshoes from OTC.  $3.95 for 12.  Super cheap and great impact!  Item number IN-3/766.

The posters were mounted on foamboard - the pink 1/2 inch kind from Home Depot.  You can get all 5 posters onto one sheet.  We used 3M brand spray adhesive.  Spray on both surfaces for a permanent bond.  The life size Bible buddies were on cardboard donated from a furniture store - just call and ask - they get huge boxes.  Mount the same way with spray mount.  The spray mount stayed all week and we had 95% humidity all week long.  I tried another brand of spray, but it did NOT work.

The silhouettes I just used someone else's photos from this website - you can use my photos, download, print and use an overhead to project them.  I mounted those on the walls with spray mount also - put it on ONE surface, let it sit for 60 seconds (3M brand) then mount to the wall.  They pull right off when you are finished.

Have fun - it will be a WILD RIDE!

Looked awesome! I'll bet the kids loved it. Great job. It is a relief to be done I know, kind of anti-climactic taking down the decorations isn't it. We took a few down last night before sundown. The rest go down to night after sundown and tomorrow.

Comes down way faster than it went up... kinda like cooking Thanksgiving dinner vs. eating Thanksgiving dinner....

Well worth it.  Kids & adults and all in between loved it.
