Hi, my name is Justin Yen and I'm a 21 year old college student, soon to be a graduate in late August. My major with the college is Culinary Arts and I will be earning my Associates Degree. Anyhow, I'm attending workcamp as a last minute decision due to the fact that my church still had openings for individuals to go. We will have a group of 15-17 people attending this year; I've attended 6 workcamps previously and this summer will be my first year going as an adult for the camp! There will be 6 adults including myself, and about 10 teenagers attending the workcamp for our church. We are a small presbyterian church just outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania for those who know the location or have heard of the area. I don't know about anyone else out there, but each year of workcamp for me has been as uplifting and spiritual where as I grew closer to God. I've felt distant from him as I have been selfish in dealing with my own needs such as hanging out with friends and dealing with my college education, that I realized I haven't taken the time to strengthen my faith with the lord as well as recognizing my beliefs. This summer as mentioned, will once again be for me a way to make up for that lost time. I originally had planned back in September of 2006 that I wasn't attending workcamp this summer. As I had talked to one of the other adults going on the trip, that there was an opening for me to jump at, and I of course took that opportunity with great thanks. Anyway, if there's anyone out there that's willing to keep in touch till the time comes to actually be at the camp on July 22nd and hopefully meet up then, my AOL Instant Messenger screenname is JYKH1406.
