Well, today was Day 1 of our Galilee by-the-sea. I was so stressed because it seems like a million things have gone wrong in the past few weeks. I figure the devil is working very hard to keep this VBS from being a blessing because he knows it is going to be....why else would he be doing so many things to drive us crazy? We have gone through at least 2 people who said they would play Jesus & then had to back out for some reason. We have had a drama person and a shopkeeper back out within the past 3 days. My family's one and only car broke down yesterday afternoon. My 2 daughters and I, and my co-director have all been sick in the past week, and it is sure hard to get much last-minute VBS shopping with one crabby 2 year old and one fussy 7 month old! Then this morning my Playground leader called frantic because she couldn't find her manual. We couldn't find one to buy or borrow anywhere.
But God is good, and all the details seem to be working out in HIS time, which is rarely early but never late either. We are driving a borrowed van. Extra people showed up this evening, and just pitched in to help wherever we needed them. My 2 year old perked up when we started the Gathering Time, and both girls did amazingly well through the whole program, even tho they got to sleep almost 2 hours later than usual. Our Playground leader remembered her game for tonight after looking at the catalog, of all things.
Now we pray that we can find the Playground manual or find another one to borrow or buy somewhere. We trust that God will lead us to people who can run the shop that currently has no shopkeeper. We pray that He will keep us all healthy enough to think clearly the rest of the week.
And we praise Him for the 55 kids & parents who attended tonight! We had others who pre-registered, but won't be able to come until tomorrow, so we know we will have even more starting tomorrow. I also praise Him for all the wonderful people who come together to make this work, and the friendships that form and teamwork that happens when we work so hard together for Him. We are looking forward to an awesome week, and great blessings from God.

What a blessing. God is so good and faithful to be there with us every step of the way. I am praising Him right now for the miracles that you saw today and the miracles you WILL be seeing tomorrow. Hope you will post some pictures when you are through. I would love to see them!

| Our VBS is starts July 9th and I just found out tonight that the young man in charge of the Seaside Playground father cleaned out his car and threw the book away. Could you please e-mail me some of the games from your book. I would greatly appreciate it. I know this will be a great VBS because too many things are going wrong, but we just keep praying and pushing on. Thanks.
