Hi,

I love the back drop.  Are you using lights to highlight it?  I realize you do not own it but I was wondering where it came from.  Maybe they have additional ones to buy.

Thanks for sharing.

It is a professional backdrop that belongs to a school. No extra lights added. We have windows behind the altar that light it up as if there were though. Looks heavenly around noon

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Of course Kathy herself will answer each question appropriately, but she would probably be too modest to tell you what I know from being a close friend of hers. This has cost her, like it has to many of us, a lot of time, energy, headaches and joy. Like with every project she commits to she did it with passion and dedication. She wholeheartedly uses her talents to bless those around her especially the children. Kathy is very resourceful, creative and determined. She is also the Banner Queen! These are some of the banners (among many others) she has made and shared with us.

OK Kathy, now about that Banner for next year's theme!

Not sure why you are asking or exactly what you are asking with those questions. Honestly I don't care to discuss those details. How the decor is financed is personal and has nothing to do at all with the very nominal fee my church charges participants. The answer to who decorates that would be me.

However if you have any questions on how to make any of the decorations I will be happy to share. That was the intention of posting the pictures.

How this is done is just like the other dedicated members on this board that spend the entire year together sharing our resources for stretching a buck, creativity, plans and other ideas.  In other words, as my husband says, about me...eat, sleep and drink VBS 24/7.

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Fabulous, fabulous job Kathy!  I loved how you turned the railing into fencing. I've been looking at all these feed bags, I've got some old burlap sacks that I'm just going to have to stuff and set out now.

Thanks for taking the time to share your pics!

Well yeah, but even some retirees still work part-time. Your talents are to valuable to just "retire" them. That's not to say that you will use them in other ways that are less demanding, but hey I am willing to pay you for another banner. How about a nice hot plate of "Arroz con pollo", black beans, fried plantains with garlic, boiled Yuca also with garlic and some Flan for dessert? Who knows I might even show up at your doorsteps with it!

Kathy,

Your decorations are wonderful.  I am in awe of your talent.  I have been printing out ideas all year and now our VBS starts in only two weeks  where has the time gone!  Somehow it will all come together but I am wishing that I had been able to start putting things together earlier   Thank you for sharing!!
