Tracy here at Group. We're making a display of where all your Fiesta blankets and AR bears are going. Besides sending them to ICS I've heard some of you ship them off to your own destinations. Could you let me know where they've gone or where they are going. Maybe you used them on a mission trip or delievered them locally? If you have any pics and/or stories, we'd love to hear/see them. If I get enough responses, maybe I can create an online area to show you all where everything is being shared. Thanks for you help! ~tracy

Ours are going to an orphanage in Haiti.  It is a ministry that has close ties with our church.  We are sending over 100!

We will have a team going down there in February, so hopefully they can get some pictures then.

Oh, bears.  But you should know that our blankets from last year went to an inner city Hispanic ministry in the Cincinnati, OH area.  They used them as gifts at Christmas!

We took our blankets to a local Christian Pregnancy Resource Center.

Our bears will also be going to Haiti. I'll send more information as I have it, including the name of the orphanage, etc. One of our ministers here in Cayman is from Haiti and he'll be arranging for the distribution there.

We finally got our bears sent off to Haiti! They will be distributed, along with the books, to poor children in rural areas of the country.

Tracy:

Our blankets went to Guatemala during a missions trip in August of 2006.  I have pictures, just not sure how to send them to you.  It was an amazing experience, the Mom's cried as their children were given a blanket.  The children were so proud!

A great idea, we have continued the tradition with our Sunday School children in getting fleece from the fabric store and giving blankets away to those in need at Christmas time.
