Hey ya'll...Some of you may remember that I am leaving on July 19th for Kenya Africa to visit my missionary sister and family.  I will be delviering our prayer bears and other items we collected as well... I am very excited, but just have one small problem.   MY PASSPORT HASN"T ARRIVED!!!!!

I applied in March...spent hours on the phone the other day trying to get a status and still don't have it!   I will call the hotline back on Thursday, and if it still is not processed we will have to drive to New Orleans that night for an 8:30 app. on friday at the State dept to get it taken care of there.  PLEASE PRAY IT ARRIVES BEFORE THEN!!!!  We live in Birmingham Al. so New Orleans is not just down the road, plus the money it would cost to go and get a hotel, all that fun stuff, we just don't have!!!

Also, please be praying for my health and safety while I am gone.  I already had a terrible reaction to my Yellow Fever shot, and don't want a repeat.   My husband and kids are starting to feal nervousness about me leaving, and honestly, I feel a little nervous too.  I have had to practice what I preach and rest in the fact that God is Sovereign, and whatever happens in my life is for His glory.  To that end, I pray for peace for my kids and not a spirit of fear.  And for myself as well.  It's easy as a mom to start thinking of all the senarios of "what could happen".  I pray that the Lord clears my mind of all those things!

Thanks guys for your prayers, and I can't wait to come home and post some pics of handing out the prayer bears!

God Bless you all!

Praying for you, Missy, that the passport will arrive, and that the trip is safe and successful.

Said a prayer for you Missy. May the passport issue be resolved without any problems or delay and may God's favor rest upon you as you do his will! Praying for the missionaries as well.

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Missy,

Praying for your trip. Have a Blessed Time as God is in Charge and will be with you.

Have to tell you the closing skits are so much fun. The kids love the Sheriff coming each night to tell what Rowdy has been up to that night. Thanks for sharing.

Let us know all about your trip when you get back.

Thank you for your prayers!  I left New Orleans today with a passport in hand.  ( yes it is my passport!

It was a very eventful trip with the air in our car breaking about 2 hours into the trip, and if any of you are familar with the areas of the Deep south...July is not the time to lose air!!!!  We were so hot by the time we got there, and so happy to get into a nice cool air conditioned room....we got into the room, and the air in the room was broke!!!    It finally got fixed around 10:00 at night, and today when we got back in our van to leave, the air in the van was working perfectly!  Obviously the Lord was trying to teach us something.  Flexibility I think!
