Here is what I am planning .  I am wrapping the cross with little light then putting our one lonely strand of lights.  We are going to give one light per crew.  after all the light are being put on the cross we are going to plug in the little lights.  That way it stand for all our sins.   Praising the Lord found the one light at a yard sale.  It will shine brightly for the Lord.

God bless

This is what we did and it worked fine:  We gave each crew a strand of regular (twinkle light) Christmas lights.  (Have you ever tried to find the large light strands in Florida in the summer?)  Anyway, they all held the dark, unlit strand together as we did the talk about how this represents sin.  Then the crew leaders brought their crew's strand to the cross, wrapped the strand around the cross and plugged it in.  Of course, we had extra outlets, etc.  It worked great, the kids got the point, and it didn't take near as long as screwing in 200 lightbulbs!  JOY

I thought and prayed about day 4.  Then I came across a posting here on the forum about using glow sticks instead of the light bulbs.  We did this and it was absolutely amazing.  There was not an adult in the building that was not crying (we had "were you there" playing in the background)  We had 75 people and allowed each one to come to the cross with their glow stick.  There were 2 people at the cross to put the glow stick into the connector.  We played "Were You There", music only, 3 times and then we lowered the lights to dark and sang "Were You There" prior to being dismissed.  This will always be a good memory for me.  It was fantastic.  Using the glowstick eliminates the bulb being hot or broken or not working!  I ordered my glowsticks off of ebay and they were delivered to me in 4 days.

Good luck
