What is the best glue to use to get 2 pieces of styrofoam to adhere? The guy at the hardware store told me to use 3M Super 77, but it just appears to be eating away the foam. Any suggestions?

Kim, white glue works fair for small pieces that don't have any stress on them but I find Gorilla Glue or Ultimate Glue works the best.  Dampen both pieces of foam with some water, glue it, pin it together with some toothpicks or bamboo skewers, and weight it down until it cures (a couple of hours)

I found a product that has worked great for me called "Hold the Foam." It's a white glue that cleans up with soap and water and is repositionable for about 15 minutes. It's used just like Elmer's and is specifically made to hold styrofoam together as well as other items to foam. I believe I found it at Walmart but it could be probably found in any home improvement store with the other adhesives. It's made by Beacon Adhesives so perhaps it could even be found with a Google search.

I use adhesive for foamboard and it works great. You need a chalking gun to use it. It is only about $2.50 a tube at Lowe's.

I use great stuff for glueing my foam together.  You have to wear gloves as it is EXTREMELY hard to get off once it dries.  It is also easy to carve with a hot knife after it dries.  Beth
