I was planning on hosting it at parent's houses....I was thinking of it being a pretty informal affair just a place for teens to get together after the game

We just started 5th Quarters this past year and it was a HUGE success!  We had it at the church, about 5 minutes from the local high school! We had contests such as most school spirit, played games like paper football, and had tailgate food.  We offered prizes like free ticket, free school memoribilia, etc. It went really well!

Host them at a Big home. Have lots of snacks and things to do (video games, board games, football in the yard.

Look at it as a bridger program to reach other students to build relationships and eventually they will want to come to your weekly thing.

Have you tried a Barn Bash? You can read more about it: www.youthministryideas.net

I'm a newbie here in this forum, so forgive me as I learn 'the ropes'.

But this 5th Quarter thing sounds like a great idea. Is there a central source somewhere for idea, logistics, what to have, etc? Or can you share a few more details VBSGirl, sounds like you just might a resident expert!

Football will be here before you know it and I'd love to get something like this off the ground in the coming season.
