We used black silhouttes of cowboy boots, hats, stars, and horseshoes to fill in empty spaces...used posterboard or 12 x 18 construction paper...both worked well...would be easy for teenagers to cut out.

We used the silhouettes too. They were quick and large so they covered a lot of area. We purchased one of the big rolls of black butcher paper which is of course more than we needed for this year--think we'll use it for blackboards next year!

The clotheslines work really well too. We did the one on the stage as described on the decorating DVD but also in two hallways with cowboy hats on the tooks and some boots underneath.
