Someone had posted in the past about using jeans for buddie bags. I found this and really liked it. Thought I'd share.

Thanks LOVE it. I think that we will be using them for the bags.

I am actually using Group's craft since I have the $ and my craft person likes the idea.  I really like the jean bag BUT I agreed that my craft person could make the "ultimate" decisions this year.  Delegate, delegate is my motto this year!

Great idea - thanks.  I think I will do this with kids' jeans from the Goodwill store.  they are usually only $1-$1.50 per pair.  Great on the budget!!!

I tried something similiar, even though we're buying the bags, the Jr. High kids might want to do something different!

But what I did was cut the bottom of the bag into 5 x 1/2 " strips and then tied the strips side to side to close the bottom of the bag.  NO SEWING!  I got the idea from the bandana bag that someone posted here awhile back.

We are using Group's bags for our other ages but I had considered using a jean bag for our 6th & 7th grade class.  Do you think something like a bedazzler would be fun for a group that age?

Just to share a blessing we recieved.... we decided to do this, and I was sharing the idea with my mother in law (who lives in Ohio, we're in Texas)...she called backt he next day and said she got 50 pairs of jeans at a Goodwill store for 50 cents each.  She already cut them to size, sewed them up, and sent them to us in the mail!  I LOVE initiative!!!

Hi,

We loved the jean pocket idea as well!  I found a store through E-bay that will sell the pockets for about $.15 each plus shipping.  Try abcrafter@yahoo.com   She was able to fulfil 425 pockets for us pretty quickly!!
