Hi folks!

I will need to run my Crafts station outside (under a tent or canopy).  If you've done this, did you put anything down on the ground for the crews to gather round and work on?  What did you use?  I was thinking of searching out some flannel backed vinyl tablecloths.  Any other ideas?

I was also thinking of trying to gather up some carpet samples for the kids to sit upon.

Any other hints/tips about running crafts outside?

Chris

We did this for years!  We simply put old tables out there (we live in a rural area where it is unlikely anyone would steal the church's tables!) and had the kids stand to do their crafts.  Worked great.

The ONLY thing to think about is the wind at times.  You just need to plan crafts that don't have lots of little pieces. (like last year's stained glass windows would have been impossible for us!)
