I have a couple of questions about these.  I did a search and couldn't find anything, but I apologize if this has been answered.

In the craft pamphlet, it suggests using watercolor markers.  Did anyone use them or did you use sharpies/paint/wood markers?  If you used watercolor markers, wouldn't they run?

Also, it says to put them together with a little glue and hold with a rubber band until dry while you decorate.  Is the rubber band a problem with it getting in the way while decorating?  I had thought, too, that the little stick where a bird would sit could be put on last so that it would be easier to lie flat while working.

Thanks for your help!

we are doing this craft . I glued the bird house together . we don't have much time. I had some of the youth try to put them together and they were getting fustrated.  Took me 7 minutes to get some of them together since the fit was very tight.   I took the frame and tacky glue .  I put glue at the corners of the frame put the boot part on flip and put the other glue and boot on.  No rubberband was need. They were tightly attached.   We got Acylic paint from Joannes fabric for 10 cents a piece on Clearance and had paint brushes.  They will get to concentrate on making them . This was less than the price of Paint markers or Sharpies and will wash well.  Hands on fun from oriental trader company has them .

God bless
