I have a youth helper doing our Spotlight Drama and he wasn't really rising to the occasion and taking full responsibility for his job, so I foolishly jumped in yesterday (day 1) and without consulting the Leader's Manual (I didn't pay attention!) had him take the pictures during the 1st Games rotation, without thinking about the fact that for the rest of the week, there won't BE anyone in Games for the 1st rotation because they'll all be doing Chuckwagon Chow service! (We don't run a preschool, so we just serve up the Chow pre-made on the first day)

So for today I'm having him shift it it to the 2nd rotation, but in order to get every group in, one day (Day 4) we'll have to do it on the 3rd rotation! He'll then only have one rotation to get the pix dropped into the slideshow. Will that give him enough time?

Anyone else have a better scheduling idea? I'm so mad at myself! But I'm also thankful that the Lord woke me up this morning at 5am and pointed it out to me so I'd have time to think about (and ask!) how to get it fixed!

BTW, for Day 5,(since there's no Preschool) we're taking pix at all the stations, and will just put them in randomly, along with other pix we've taken during the week.

Thanks in advance for any ideas

We find every year that there is too much time for the kids to make snacks so we used that time to do spotlight drama instead of during games. You could probably do the same (either every day or at least to correct your mistake).

Doing it during the first rotation while making snacks made it easy to get the pictures imported since we had much more time.

(Our preschoolers don't make snacks...we have the elementary kids do it M-Th and Friday we are rushed to get a Mass in that we do a simple snack of popsicles so we don't need anyone to make snacks)

I had a crunch one day, too.  It happened to be a day where the kids finished their craft early, so I snuck a few out as I needed them to take the picture.  They were all done and playing with their Skye Catchers.  As long as you get the pictures, it doesn't matter what the setting is.  The kids just LOVED seeing themselves on the "big screen!"  I just told the crew leaders involved that I needed to catch up with them at some point to snap a few pictures.  I also split the groups when I took the pictures.  I did the first half of the slides during games using one group and caught up with the other group at some other point.  This allowed all the kids to be in more than once and made it easier on the games leader since I didn't take up a lot of time--only about 5 minutes--and they could get on to the games.  Sometimes our crews had to wait to get into Chadder's--that'd be a good time to snap a few.  Also, as the previous poster said, during Chow.  As long as you keep track of which ones you've taken and which ones you still need, you should be good to go!
