| | Vbs Directors, I need your help. We've got a call from a church that's having trouble finding the styrafoam to create their mountain scene background for their Avalanche Ranch. Please let me know where you've sourced yours - do you have any online sources? They checked Home Depot and many other large retailers with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help! Warm Regards and Blessings, Jill Foye Sr Marketing Manager Jill we used a foam core product called Tuff-R which we got from Home Depot. It might help to ask for a specific product. What is nice about it is that it can be easily cut with a sharp knife and no heat cutter is needed. It is used as an insulation like the other foam products.

| We found ours at Menards. It's the only place around here that sells the white foam.

| | We use to use the foam board from home depot or lowes but this year we used hardboard from lowes (you can get it at any home store like home depot etc.) it won't stand on its own so my husband made a frame on the back out of 2x2 or 2x3 boards. It takes paint better and quicker then the foam (and we used less paint, the foam would suck up the paint making for more coats) and then each year it can be painted white and used again for the next theme. Also it can be used for Christmas or Easter sets or any other kind of sets your church might need. Good luck! Melissa - NY |

| | We also used insulation foam core found at Home Depot. It can be found at most any hardware/ repair store. We actually used the foam core that we had bought for last years VBS. However, this year we cut it to make the mountain backdrop. It looks great! Not one demensional. I encourage everyone to take that extra step. We used a primer to first paint the foam core so that it wouldn't take so many coats to cover. We then thined out the paint and it didn't need a second caot. Hope this helps. Scott in Louisiana

| | Both Lowes and Home Depot carry the builders foam (comes in either pink or blue), and here they carry the styrofoam too. They just need to ask and either store can have it sent in from another store. Also - I did a yellow pages search for styrofoam in January and found several places in my area where they will cut it any size/ thickness. |
