Hi All:
We are on day 4 of our VBS and I found a program called fotosizer that resizes the photos for spotlight drama in a batch. It lets you select a folder to copy from a size that you want the photos to be (840x630 seems to work for us) and then the folder to copy too. It is a free download and only takes a minute to copy the 15 or 16 pictures over and resize as well. This makes it easier and faster to get the spotlight drama going. It only took us 10 minutes from copying the pictures to the computer to having the drama ready to go!
The kids are really excited about being on the "BIG" screen and are doing their best to pose for us.
do a google search for fotosizer and you can get it from the web.

Thanks for everyone who worked on the spotlight drama for VBS this year. It is turning out to be a real treat and a crowd pleaser as well.

You are right.  This is a great freebie.  It can be found at Zdnet.com or cnet.com.  The photographer at our VBS took over 800 high resolution photos-more than 2 GB of pictures (more than 2 CDs could hold) so that we could do whatever we wanted to with them.  I was able to convert all of them in a single batch process to low res and create a single Photo Album in PowerPoint.  The slide show is small enough now that we can package the presentation on one CD and give copies to families.

Thanks for sharing that website for the free download. It's too late for this year for me, but will definitely help out next year for PL!

God Bless,
