Thanks for all the decorating ideas...we really got into it...and so glad we were able to pass on our sets to another church doing AR in a couple of weeks. If anyone is still looking here are some pics.

Awesome! Your decorations are fabulous and it looks like both the kids and the volunteers alike were having a great time. I loved the crimes that your leaders were WANTED for.

Karen,

Everything looks great! Love all your decos and your stables turned out great

The forum here was a big help with the crime ideas...we just put the wanted poster power point together during the week of VBS...I would like to post a video clip of the closing show, it really was a great script this year.

Those stables are great! And I love how you did your chuckwagon chow.

I'm off to steal clothes from my hubby's closet to make a Cowboy right now

Below is my response to some private email...just posting in case there are others also asking for info on the horse stables....also if you need more info on the poster printing, KathyinMI has a thread that gives a lot of info on how to do that.

The stables are on cardboard, very sturdy from Lowes, they can even stand alone unsupported.  This is throw away stuff for them, so if you ask you can find out when they have it.  Some decorators have put it on foam insultation boards, but we found the cardboard for free. For the wood look we used a flat paper roll...you can find that online at a lot of decorating sites...we got ours from promwishescatalog I think, it is the light brown paper, which I liked better than the dark brown.  The red door effect is cut from a roll of barn scene setter..that was from party city...they may be out of it now since they were selling out at 50 cents a roll...but other decorating sites should have it...the horse heads are just pictures that I printed out in the poster printing function of our color laser, each horse is nine sheets of standard paper.  To get them to look that good it is best to find pictures that have good resolution (large pixcel size).  If you look at them up real close you can see the blocky effect of the enlargement, but from even a couple of feet away that is unnoticable.
