| You could possibly use the yellow spray expandable foam (this stuff stick to everything) aand spray it all over the top an outside of you barrels to look like toxic material. It is a bright yellow naturally but if you wanted green you could pain it probably with acrylic paint whatever color you wanted. Thanks for the great ideas, guys!

| Hi,everyone, and thank you for all of your ideas. I have a question for locca2o, can you please share the address or the name of the place in Hollywood? I'm in Corona, but if you left something in the store it may be worth the drive. thanks Evelyn

| | I think there are wipes that can be used instead of the liquid. I'll have to check in to that. Just an idea. Were off to the drug store now, so I'll look around. Jean |

MakeItMike (1/1/2008) Way cool!!! (but way labor-intensive) I know balloons self-deflate, how long do you think it would last? I assume it would last for about a day or two before deflating. I was thinking that maybe you can have a balloon artist or at least someone good at it to make some of the simpler ones on the last day and give them out to the kids. Hey, if you have time to spare at the craft site you can even have the kids each do one. There is a local balloon store here that dips their latex balloons in a solution that allows them to stay inflated for weeks. I purchased some for my daughter's bday and I finally popped them after 4 weeks because we were sick of them by then. I will try to find out the name of the solution. Found it..Hi-Float is a liquid sealant used to coat the interior surface of latex balloons and reduces the speed at which helium escapes through the latex skin. It can increase the float time by several days. Hi-Float is non-toxic and water soluble. The website I found this on said they would last 3 - 5 days but I have purchased the treated latex balloons several times and they always last at least two weeks.
For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me. Col 1:29

| Last fall another church used our facilities to host a youth night and they made a balloon arch. A week later I hosted a Dr. Blinstein's Lab activity and used the same balloons. They were still inflated a week after my program. I wonder if those were dipped in that solution or just a very good quality of latex.

Do you mean this Dr Blindstein? He's a pretty popular dude from what I hear! Thank God for Dr. B! What would we do without him, his generous heart and his extraordinary God given computer talent? He is so wonderful to share his own time helping the members of the board by compiling all the great ideas in one very awesome site. What a blessing you are to us old dogs and I am positive that is also true for the newer folks. No one is a stranger to PJ! You make planning VBS and using Group so much easier. That may sound a little syrupy but I calls um as I sees um

| | Has anyone thought about using the entry thingy from Avalanche Ranch last year? I wondered how well it would work to cover with silver paper and hang the silver door curtain from it (or the cut shower curtain as described above). Cover the fence on the sides with paper and put beaker cutouts in front of the fence ... Hmmm... Maybe. Janet |
