When I was looking at Group's website, I came across "Closing Production".  I tried to open it, thinking it would be of some help with the closing program.  It wouldn't open.  Does anyone know if it is a help for the closing program?  And if so, how do I open it?  Thanks for any help I can get out there.

VBS starts in 5 days, so it's more than a little crazy around here!

The closing production is a skit called Rowdy's Return. Here is the link:

You could always have the kids sing some or all of the Avalanche Ranch songs, go over the daily Bible Points for the parents and show some samples of crafts and snacks. Maybe even show a segment of Chadder. Inform your parents about your Missions Project (the Prayer Bears or something else). Then pass out certificates (if you do that) and let the kids and parents have a treat that goes with the Avalanche Ranch theme.

God Bless,

Each of our crews chose one of the VBS songs to sing for the parents.  We had our puppets review the Bible points and the Bible stories with the children helping of course.  We also showed all the spotlite drama's.  The children wanted thier parents to see them all.  WE also did our final Bible adventure for the parents in the santurary.  Then we all went our activity center to have a big chow down on hamburgers, hotdogs and beans.  We had dessert too of course.  It turned our great.

Hope this helps.

God Bless you

At our finale dinner, the kids sang several of the songs & showed off the line dancing they'd learned (this was something we did with them in the afternoons, after the stations portion of the day). We then showed the parents one of the spotlight dramas (although I wished we'd done all of them, but there wasn't enough time). Then our techie volunteers had put together a great sideshow of pictures taken all week long, with a couple of the other songs playing in the background. And our pastor spoke to the parents about why we enjoy the ministry of KidsCamp, and about what happens on Thursdays, and encourages any of them to talk to him or other ministry team members about what their child(ren) learned & possibly accepted Jesus as their Savior during the week.

God Bless!

Our finale was held on the Sunday following VBS, during our contemporary worship service. We had Rowdy return for our finale to help the Sing and Play Leader with a recap of his adventures and all of the Bible Points. Then the leader went through each day one at a time, by reminding the children of the Bible story, having the children sing one of the songs they had learned, and showing the Spotlight Drama. She did that for every day of VBS. The parents thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the Spotlight Dramas and watching their children sing and do the motions to several of the AR songs. After that, we had a reception following the service. We served several of the snacks that the children had eaten during the week.
