| | Last night was day 4 of our AR, and praise God, we had 6 profession of Faiths! We are so excited that 6 kids gave their lives to Jesus, but to be honest, this is the first time in the long history of VBS that we actually had it happen and we know about it. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to follow up on these kids? What should I do to help them understand what they have done and how to keep walking with Christ? Thanks! Kaylenn VBS Director |

| | Hey, I think that is great!. If you had registration you should have their home information. I would have someone keep in contact by maybe a visit or two, maybe invite them to come back to church even if you have to pick them up. What a witness. Then slip in some tracks, if you have a budget. Go to a book store and get them a childs bible or a devotion book. I know where I'm from we have a baptist book store, and I get my kids daily devotional books for Christmas. They are 4.99. Thats what I plan to do with my kids this year. You would be surprise how a 3 grader would go crazy over their very own bible or devotional. Their isn't a better sight in the world. I will be praying for you guys. Your Sister in Christ Paulette

| | Hello, We also wanted to help our new Christians grow. Our Elder Board approved a program that we found that can help the children bridge between faith, and going to Sunday School and AWANA. It is from Child Evangelism Fellowship or CEF. They have a program called The Mailbox Club. Children have their parents enroll them, and they get mailed lessons about growing in faith right to their mailbox. They complete a lesson, send it in, and they receive their next lesson. The kids also get prizes for lesson completion. The children will also be linked to your local church, and your pastor can do visits, or counseling time with the kids. We had so many kids want to join the program that we ran out of the introduction brochure! Hope this helps! Katie |
