| Hi all, I've been directing our sunday school program for the last couple of years & have been very unhappy with the curriculum we have been using. Very boring for the kids & our ss attendance just isnt what it should be, although the VBS has been an awesome blessing. We have used groups vbs for the last 4 years & vbs just continues to be blessed & grow. Our ed. board decided then to go with group's Faithweavers for Sunday School too. I really want to make this fun for the kids, but keep it a sunday school experience...not a vbs time with games, crafts, snacks, etc. I guess what I'm saying is a more in depth, traditional, yet not traditional sunday school. Anyway, what I did was order the Faithweaver Friends OPENING time. All the kids can get together for the music & fun & drama. I also ordered the Kids church DVD to add to this time. We will do our mission, our music, our drama, and opening up of the bible point, at this 20 minute or so period. Then kids will break up into their classrooms with the Faithweaver curriculum. Can anyone give me advise on my thoughts here? Am I going about this in the right way? Any other advise for me in directing my teachers through this first year with Faithweavers? Blessings & Thanks for your all you do, Vanessa

| Welcome, Vanessa! Thanks for your heart for serving. I'll be praying for you and your minsitry. What you have proposed for your program sounds just fine. As Doreen noted, we do provide you with alot of material in FaithWeaver (plus additional free tips for each age level, one for each week, online). So just keep in mind what the week's Bible Point is and that the point is NOT to worry about getting through everything! I'd make sure that you cover something from Bible Story Exploration and something from Weaving Faith Into Life (life application). Enjoy! Let us know how it goes, and other questions you have. God bless you and your minsitry!
