| | The NIV seems to be what most of our kids have at home, so we use it, but for memory work we allow whatever version they do have. When we practice in class, we use NIV, but if we give prizes or points for memorizing, then whatever version they worked from is acceptable. We read from NIV for studying, but sometimes use a paraphrase, like a Living Bible or The Message for teaching the stories. This is interesting. I hope you post the poll, when it's completed. It may be a geographic issue too. I'm in Central Texas, and many people would call our area The Bible Belt, so that may be a factor.
