| Hello Everyone, I am looking at starting Faithweaver and wondered how people make use of the student books? We are looking at our numbers and are concerned about the cost of providing a student book for all of our kids from preschool through 5th grade. Is the student book absolutely necessary or could we make the program work without it? What other suggestions do you all have for just getting started on a budget? There seem to be so many materials and I am just trying to sort through what will work for us. Thanks for your feedback! Robyn

| As I have taught FaithWeaver, I have used the average number of students, and NOT purchased one for every student that could show up. Every once in awhile I was short one or two, but I found there was always someone willing to share (and you can get more of a lesson as a download per week if you know you'll have one week that you'll need more of...). I have not tried this at my church, but I have heard of other churches that have also had bulletin boards that listed things needed in your ministry. This could be done for most any ministry. It might be supplies (we do this for VBS, actually) or Sunday school student books, Bibles, whatever. Sometimes you might list a $ amount ($100 for 5 Bible, or $20 for 1 Bible, for example), or a specific supply. Fundraising experts have found that when you list a specific need/where the money is going, people are more likely to give. Hope that helps! Let us know if we can be of service in any other way. God bless you and your ministry!
