| | Mal, All the information for this isn't out yet so I wouldn't make a final decision just yet. Even if the parents have to pay for the soccer balls, the kids could do chores around the house to earn their money instead of just the parents paying for the soccer balls. The kids earned the money to help other kids learn about the Gospel and Jesus Christ. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| | I agree with MAL; I too want something that will let the kids become immersed in personal service and that teaches them the concept of service and value of it at a young age. I want them to know the Biblical principals of WHY we are involved in missions. I have not written the idea of the soccer balls off, just yet. I have seen where the ok2k site indicates that the "children will touch, pray over, and personalize the GO balls" and I am waiting to learn more. An additional question I have is, is the only method of participating in the Operation Kid to Kid Mission(s) through purchasing VBS material? My problem is that we have an extremely small church, approx. 30 and of those 11 are children. We don't currently have the financial / physical (read teacher/volunteers) resources to offer VBS. However, I am very interested in working with our youth and teaching them the value and Biblical principals of service/mission.

| | Tracy, The Operation Kid-to-Kid Missions Project is not just for VBS. It can also be used for small groups, youth groups, women's groups, senior Bible studies or any group in your church that has a heart for missions. Just order the materials that you would need for Operation Kid-to-Kid from Group and you're all set. God Bless, Josh T. in Ohio

| | Josh, Thanks for the information. I look forward to hearing how this year's (2008) program is gooing to work; but I am already excited about it and I am hoping that it will be something that our kids can participate in and learn from while doing a good service for youth less fortunate. Tracy
