| | Last year I was stuck without an electric campfire, and someone said they got them at an after-halloween sale the previous year. Does anyone know if there are things like that I should be looking for this year? Thanks!!

| | Definitely a fog machine! I got mine last year after Halloween for only $12.00! A bubble machine can also be useful. Look out for glow in the dark toys. They will most likely even have mad scientist things like test tubes, thick nerdy eyewear, Einstein wigs, white gloves, etc. Don't forget to get your goggles at the dollar stores! Watch for Dr. Blindstein's Laboratory, coming this Fall, for many more ideas including some of the best ones mentioned here! Dr. Blindstein's Laboratory

| | I've got my eye on tube lighting as well. I've seen purple and orange at Walgreens and I'm watching for it to go on sale. That can be used in so many different ways! I second the fog machine and the strobe lights. Any stone wall backdrops that could be a mad scientist lab would also be fun! If you could find a skeleton to hang in the "lab" I would definitely go for that as well. Not a spooky one, just an anatomical one. (Show how we are fearfully and wonderfully made!)

| PeggyinOhio (10/12/2007) I've got my eye on tube lighting as well. I've seen purple and orange at Walgreens and I'm watching for it to go on sale. That can be used in so many different ways!Right now Big Lots have the orange ones (18 feet) for $8.00 and with your BUZZ CLUB discount (20% off) you pay only $6.40. You could probably get them even cheaper after Halloween, but you never know if you will find any then. Discount lasts till Sunday! Visit BigLots Online and sign up for your BC coupon.

| I don't know if anyone posted this yet but Martha Stewart is selling pens in plastic test tubes as part of her halloween crafts at Michaels. Perfect for Power lab decorations!

I got one at the dollor tree a while back. I plan to put a dress shirt on him (to be the lab coat) Roll up the sleves to make it fit him. I got an old broom handle i am going to paint black and put a door hook on it to make a stand for it. then put the broom in a tin can with rocks in it to hold it up, cover the can with black table cloth :-) |

| OK, I just got a great mental picture of the skeleton dressed up and standing there and then figuring out a way to articulate the jaw and turn the skeleton into a puppet. Just something to keep in mind while shopping.
