Just came from Walmart-had rope lights in Christmas area in clear, red and multi. They were 18 feet long each and sold for $6.88 each.

If there're any left after Christmas I would image they will be 1/2 off! I am currently eyeing some purple ones for after Halloween!

Last time I checked an electron is negatively charged...  therefore it is the positive charge of the protons in the nucleous that hold the electons in the electron shell whirling around the atom.

Well.....I think what PJ meant to put in the quiz is that all the protons in the nucleus are positive while the neutrons in the nucleus are neutral making the overall charge + sooo since like charges repel then all the protons should scatter (and neutrons drift off too) rather than hanging around together in the nucleus.

The electrons (negative charge) in the shell are attracted to the nucleus by an electrical force but are not what hold the + charged protons together in the nucleus...there must be a much stronger force which is where the creation -vs- evolution & sciency debate comes in based on "quarks...glutons" being the strong force holding them together.

Of course WE know exactly what that strong force is holding the protons together in the nucleus...God of course

Well, thank you colleague. Dr. Blindstein is proud of ya!

Robin, this is a non-compromising issue on both sides. Ultimately it comes down to faith. Both sides must have it in order to support what they believe. If you care to discuss it further you can always e-mail me. Thanks for your input.

I would just like to point out that if you plan on using a strobe light, please make sure that you check beforehand to make sure none of the children attending VBS have epilepsy.

Hi All

I was shopping for some halloween costumes today and in my store the fog machines were already 50% off!  They only had 2 left so I bought it.  I didn't want to wait till after halloween and then have none left.  Anyone who has used the fog machine before -- how much of the liquid does it use?  I bought the gallon jug, but I have no idea how long that will last.

They also had the big rolls of plastic backdrop that was printed like brick or stone.  It was 50% off.  After seeing the Chadder clip online, that might be useful for the video room.

Happy Shopping!    Judi

Fog juice lasts a LONG time. I have been working off of a gallon for several years now. I do have a professional fogger and juice, so it may be a little different, but I have been using this gallon for at least 4 halloweens in the front yard, a couple more inside, 4 VBS's, a couple of concerts, and SEVERAL wednesday nights at church. I still have maybe 1/10 left in the container, and the tank of my ,achine is about 3/4 full.

Has anyone else heard that fog machines can bring on asthma attacks if used indoors?

The "fog" is a particulate matter created with high heat & chemicals and any particulate matter can trigger asthma.  Most people won't be bothered by a little "fog", the problem is that you never know when one person will have a severe reaction.  Fog machines are best used outdoors or very sparingly indoors, they can quickly fill a room with fog.  A safer alternative is ultrasonic nebilizers such as the floating foogers and some childrens room humidifiers.  They use no chemicals or heat, just water.  They are more expensive and they don't make as much mist, but sometime less mist is better.  You can also use dry ice (again, with caution) for a smaller scale, more localized fog without respiratory concerns.
