It went really well! He had a lot of questions I didn't have answers to. His response was not whether or not we should do it but how soon can we start it without rushing it. If we're going to do it we need to be prepared. We both agreed that we want to start as soon as we can get it lined up. So I'm meeting with him again in two weeks and hope to have a sylabus and at least a tentative schedule along with the goal of why we are doing this.
