Oh my goodness...memories...when my son was in cub scouts we had the Edison Co do an experiment for the boys and it was just like that! Very cool! BUT it was starting to sprinkle outside and they moved it indoors which made it a little too close for comfort for me. They even scorched the carpet leaving black soot that we had to have profesionally cleaned!

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

Proverbs 28:19

OK! now to recreate that prop without the actual electricity. Idea gears are spinning!

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Peggy - The night before the field test they hired a "Wacky Science" person who brought in one of those things for us to experience.  Imagine my hair standing up on end after touching that thing? It was SOOOO cool, but it felt pretty Funky to have that electricity surging through you.   Lisa B

James (my almost 16 yo son) just told me that one of the science teachers at school has a small Tesla Coil!  I hope he'll let me borrow it for the last day.  That would be too awesome.

Good idea! I'm going to check with the high school teachers that go to our church to see if we can find one.
