| | Many, including myself, will be taking advantage of the opportunity Power Lab offers to engage both young and old in a variety of exciting and entertaining (scientific) experiments. Nevertheless, as I Google my way through the www in search for those "Ooooooos" and "Aaaaaaahs" experiments I am quickened to find a connection between them and the Gospel. In other words, I don't want to have experiments just for the fun of it. I want the kids to learn something spiritually meaningful as they do them. Many of our kids have already been exposed to experiments in Science class and unfortunately along with some of the hands on experience they have also received a distortion of the truth (God/Creation). For this reason may I suggest that you try and select experiments that can convey a Biblical truth. After all, Power Lab is about JESUS and discovering his miraculous power not the power of Physics or Chemistry. I am gathering a few experiments that I plan to have at our "Science and the Bible" corner and will post them on my PL Support site. For example, THIS EXPERIMENT can be used to demonstrate how God protects us even when the world around us is drowning in sin. A simple note card or a Lab Assistant (staff) can share on how being a child of God and living in obedience to Him creates a "shield" around us. How sin no longer has the power to contaminate us unless of course we allow it to. You can even use it to briefly tell the story of Jonah. Just a thought I wanted to share with you all. If you have other Bible connection ideas for specific experiments please share them with me so I can include them in my website. If it's your original idea you will be duly credited.

| PJ, I agree with you 100% that our experiments should make a point to teach about Jesus and not just be experiments for the fun of it. Thanks for sharing that experiment with us. I'm looking forward to seeing your PL site.
