| | I don't post often but I do check the board several times a day and have been around since SCUBA directing. Please keep my son, Jacob, and daughter, Zoie, in your prayers. Jacob has been hurting in his joints for the past two years and they can't find any thing wrong. If he gets hurt or sick, then he aches. The doctor is changing his allergy medicines to see if it is a side effect of one of the medicines. He is allergic to mold which is in the Texas air. Monday he hurt so bad that he wouldn't eat. He's only 9. I'm taking him to the doctor this afternoon and I'm going to ask for him to have blood tests done for mono and have another arthritis panel done. I'm ready for the doctor to send us to a Pediatric Rheumatologist which they are working on. (Just heard from the doctors office.) He says that Motrin doesn't ease the pain. Pray that we will get answers soon. Please keep Zoie in your prayers also. She has recently been diagnosed with Asthma and is on Albuterol syrup and breathing treatments twice a day. She is on a round of antibiotics and when she finishes them the doctor wants to get a gamugobulin (sp?) count. Please pray that her counts will be normal. This is all taking a toll on me mentally and financially. We have health insurance but the last two months we have paid literally thousands of dollars above what we normally do on prescriptions and doctor visits. I am beat up spiritually also. I told my husband last night that I feel like I am being punished for something. I do my daily Bible readings which I love to do and I pray constantly but I feel like I am doing them for no reason because of the sicknesses. I realize that my kids are really healthy because there are so many other children fighting life threatening illnessses and I praise God daily that that is not our situation. I'll quit rambling on. Please keep Jacob and Zoie in your prayers. I would really appreciate it. May God bless you all. Merry CHRISTmat! Jamie M |

| Jamie, I just finished praying for your family. I will continue to join others in prayer knowing that God is listening. I pray for the answer you seek for Jacob and along with that answer the remedy and the healing. I pray for Zoie, that her medication would do its job and the she too would experience a healing touch from God. I pray for you also. That you may find strength, peace and the assurance that whatever you are going through is not a punishment, but a test of faith and an attack of the enemy of our soul. He is always looking for a way to discourage us. Especially in times of trial we are to persevere and not give up. That is when our prayers are most effective against what Satan hopes to accomplish. Remember, Jesus told us that we WOULD HAVE trials, but to rejoice for He overcame the world. Because he overcame we too can overcome since he lives in us! Don’t ask God why, instead ask him HOW can He use this situation to glorify his name in and through your family. May your faith be strengthened during this time so that God can use you in encouraging others in similar situations. Be blessed and filled with the peace that goes above all human understanding (Ph. 4:7).

| | Praying for your children. I want to share with you the medication you child is on is the same as my son. It will soften their Teeth and cause problems . So if you can ask for a different medication for the asthma try. I was told by a dentist that that is what is wrong with the development of his teeth. I was given an artical on the study of results found. The liquid was a big problem when he was a baby why'll teeth were developing . Then he got hte inhaler. They need to rince out there mouths each time they use the medication. The inhaler I have been on and if you don't you can get Yeast problem in you mouth. Rinsing out the mouth after the liquid will help protect the mouth some. I don't want to scare you just share so that you might not have all the dentist bills I have had . God bless Doreen

| | Thank you all so much for your prayers. Today is a better day. At least I haven't cried every time someone has asked about Jacob. He did go to school this morning for half a day. They get out tomorrow for Christmas break. He went back to the doctor yesterday and got a Rocephin shot, which he is very soar from this morning, and different antibiotics. He goes back in 2 weeks for blood work to check his immune system. Please continue to keep him and Zoie in your prayers. The Pediatric Rheumatologist's office was closed yesterday so the doctor is going to try to make an appointment today. Pray that we won't have to wait 6-8 weeks before he gets in. Doreen thanks for the info on the medicine. I didn't know that affected their teeth like that. I knew about washing the mouth. Thanks again for everyone's prayers. Please continue to pray for the kids. Jamie M |

| Our home group is keeping you and your family in our prayers. I'm glad Christmas break is upon us. It gives us time to wind down a bit and snuggle more with the kiddos. I,personally, am looking forward to that very thing. My husband has psoriatic arthritis and all of my children have asthma. I think the joint pain has been the toughest to deal with as the relief from the pain is not always forthcoming enough. Keep us posted. We are lifting you all up to the Father.

| | Thank you Janet for your prayers. I heard from Jacob's doctor and the Pediatric Rheumatologist faxed him some paper work to fill out and then fax back to the Rheumatologist to see if they will see him. Please pray that Jacob is approved to be seen by the Pediatric Rheumatologist. It concerns me that it has to be done this way. Maybe that is how it works with specialists. I don't know because we have never had to do this before. Please keep this in your prayers too. JamieM |

| | Jamie, Tooth discoloration with inhaled albuteral occurs rarely (1%) with long term use. These types of medications tend to dry out the mouth reducing the protective effect of the saliva against tooth decay. Unless someone is on the medication long term there really is not a lot to worry about.

He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty. Proverbs 28:19
