It would be cool to have a map that we could zoom in on and could each put a pin in where we are located. I would love to be able to see where everyone is. Knowing locations is great, but it's hard to get everyone. This way if someone was headed through or had questions about a certain area we would know who to ask. After all some of our states border and we may be closer than we think.

Anyone have any ideas how to make this work?

Wow, what a great idea!  I would love to see that happen.

Um, I think I know where to sign up for one of those. I will look for it and report back.

OK, click the link in the above post. You may want to right-click and "open in a new window"

i agree, kathy

i love talking to you all but that is why i don't share personal info., i won't tell you my kids names, where we live exactly, and i won't share any pictures...it is much too personal for a public forum.  i would not feel comfortable if one of these maps were started because of that very same reason...we don't know all the people who are reading this

i do believe God has brought us all here to share our ideas and to "connect" and build friendships, but we have to remember that it is public and that you need to be careful and protect the ones you love

I agree we get so comfortable with each other that we forget that anyone can access these forums...

I wonder if such a map could be done anonymously? And in generalities. So that we don't know "Mary" lives in "small town" USA, but only that someone lives in the "so and so area" of "such and such a state".

The general layout of who is from what areas would be interesting.

That was what I thought she was talking about.  And I don't think that she said anything about posting pictures of our kids with it either.

I believe Kathy was referring to another thread. The posting of kids' pictures has already happened on the "What do you look like" thread. People are posting pictures of themselves and some of those pictures include their kids.

The map Marshall posted does not give specific town names, etc. I just clicked the general area on the map. Also, I only used my sign on name. I really don't think there is any more info than on the posts we've made. I just thought it would be neat to see how much area we cover. Putting a push pin in at your area or not is totally your choice. Also, you do not have to put in any information where it asks for email or web site. It works leaving those blank.
