We use the DVD for the assemblies, but I use the guitar chords leading the kids Sunday School assemblies in the time period surrounding VBS.

We use the DVD projected on the big screen. We don't have a music team per se, and the few pianists there are probably couldn't "rock" like the band on the DVD does. As a trained musician myself, however, I appreciate having music and words written out so I can see what the tune is - it helps me learn it. And I use the CD in my car to reinforce that.

We use the dvd before and during VBS. By then we know the songs well enough to use the CD. We don't use the music sheets, but it is nice to have the words for the leaders to learn with before they teach the kids.

I'm sure our music/worship team uses the song sheets - we have a group of musicians & singers who form our "KidsCamp Band" the last couple years, and they won't even let us CONSIDER only using the DVD. I think we've only used the DVD to introduce the songs and motions to worship team singers & helpers.

For the opening and closing each day, we have a band (keyboard, two guitars, and drums) and song leaders who use the song sheets from the manual. We definitely like to have the whole song written out and would love having more detailed sheet music available for our guitars since especially for PL there seem to be several solo parts for guitar.

We only use the CDs in some of the rooms while the kids are working or eating snack so they get to learn the songs better and we purchase one CD per family to send home that week.

Thank you for asking!

Our VBS is very fortunate to have a band every year.  Keyboards, drums, guitar, bass, harmonica and some other instruments have all made regular appearances.

Yes - we use the song sheets.  But every year our Music Leader really wants more.  He has asked for accompaniment or chords or whatever we can get.

If Group was able to supply this, I think we would be SURE to use Group every year! (sorry, we have used others over the years but I have a strong preference for Group).  That would be the icing on the cake for us because there is so much work he has to put into preparing music for the other instruments.

It seems to me that this should already exist, right?  Didn't someone have to figure out the chords or music for other instruments for purposes of playing and recording the soundtrack?  I can't tell you how excited we would be to have this available to us!

Thanks for asking!  I hope to see this soon!  If you want to "test" this with a VBS this year, let me know!  We would love to have it this summer! (We haven't finally selected or purchased the Power Lab kit yet, but expect to by the end of February - this would help us make our decision!).

We have a VBS band where our teen workship band plays all the music.  We use the power point with words on an overhead screen.  One frustration for us has been the lack of chords.  We would have to do much more work if the music was not included.

thanks, Pam

We only use the DVD for the kids to learn the music and the motions.  However, I was very disappointed with the music this year.  What happened to the for the little ones?  Plus, there is too much going on with the music this year.  Some of us churches don't really care for the "Christian Rock" type of music.  We would rather have traditional music!
