I have never bought quantities of bubble wrap before, but this site looks like it has some pretty good prices: http://www.packitright.net/

We have a long hallway that the kids have to go down as they entire into our fellowship hall, this is where we have our Sing & Play, Finale, Snacks, and Crafts. I was thinking of lining the bubble wrap up in the corners of the ceiling effectively rounding out the corners all the way down the hall. I am going to then mount some small strobes that I have behind the wrap. Another thought might be to put a string of chasing Christmas lights behind it. I am thinking this might give it that clean room feel.

I just joined the message boards and find it encouraging that we folks have had similar ideas. I was wondering have you tested the bubble wrap idea and the lights behind it? Do you think blinking/chasing christmas lights would make a difference?

Also has there been any attempts to carve the styrofoam panels into "outline shapes" meaning shaped on the outside as well as hollowed out in the center. I am trying to figure out when my 8x4 panel will lose its integrity and snap or fold over. And how to set up support without it being extremely obvious.

OVER? When is getting ready for VBS over?? I'll be working on next year's stuff before we've put away all the stuff for this year!

Of course, I'm known to be a bit obsessive - but at least it's for a good cause

The new theme will be announced after the field test is over!  And that's June 9-13 in Loveland, Colorado.  Anyone want to drive by and take pictures?  LOL

There is a teaser postcard posted here that is legit.  But it isn't helping me much.

I just got my May VBS Newsletter email, and it says:

"When will you announce the 2009 themes?

We will unveil the 2009 themes on June 9, 2008. Visit www.group.com/vbs on June 9 and you will be in the know!"

There's an Off Topic thread all about this:
