Hello everyone,

I am going to have a hysterectomy tomorrow (march 13th) and would like to request prayers on my behalf.  I have never had surgery/anestesia and was only in the hospital to have my two babies.  My youngest, who is 3, is a mama's boy and I am not sure how he is going to do without me - especially at night.  I guess my prayer request is more for my family, than myself.  I know God is in control and am confident in my recovery, but I pray my kids will adjust to mommy not being home and when I am not being able to do as much as I usually do for a while.

Thanks for all your prayers,

Lisa in FL

Praying on behalf of you and your family. May the Lord's hands be the ones in the surgery room as well as at home taking care of your children. Praying also for a speedy recovery and renewed strength so that you would continute in the work of the Lord.

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Thank you all for your prayers.  I am now home and I'm feeling better all ready.  I actually got home around 11 pm on Friday, but am finally off the good drugs and able to function.  Morphine in the hospital and percocet at home -WHOO WEE!  What trip.  I am glad to be on 600mg IB profuen, so I know where I am and who I am.  My husband is a trooper and had fun making me follow a pencil with my eyes, isn't he sweet.  Had a small problem with the meds in the hospital - started twitching uncontrollably, so they took me off everything for 7 hours -ouch!  Of course, that is when the pastor and another lady from the church, where I help teach Awana (my home church doesn't have this program) and attend their VBS and help out, came in and saw me in pain and a little "out of it".  Luckily, they left for about thirty minutes and I got percocet and was fine when they came back in or at least I think I was. I can't remember our conversation.  They may not want me back at their church - JUST Kidding - I think!

Anyway, thanks again and I think I am on my way to recovery.  I sleep a lot, but feel okay.  I even got up to receive my package from the mail lady -VBS supplies of course.  The first material I looked at - you guessed it VBS material.  I hope I am making sense, if not it is the left over drugs in my system, the anesthesiologist said I was light weight.

Many Blessings,
