We are holding an all staff required meeting a few days before our vbs takes place. My husband and I are going to cook them breakfast, especially since we are making them be there at 8 am. LOL. I saw somewhere and I can't remember where it was, someone came up with the idea of taking canning jars and putting the dry ingredients for a cake in there and the name of the cake was sciencey. but you put the card with the rest of the ingredients needed and a little thank you note. I really thought about doing that. First of all, dry ingredients are cheap and 2, if your church is anything like mine, people LOVE to eat, and find any reason to get together to eat.

hope this helps

Being that I have decided to go with the Colorful/Neon type lab setting I was thrilled to find these Neon colored plastic water/juice dispensers at the Dollar tree. They are of a nice size and great for thank you gifts. They come in  Neon Pink, Orange, Green and Blue. Will post a pict later on this afternoon.

I am thinking a dinner, served in various containers to go with Power Lab (beakers, test tubes, etc.).

Name each item so it correlates with PL.

Example - nacho explosion (build your own nacho bar) or atomic burgers. Or finger foods that correlate (ham and cheese cut in beaker or test tube shapes, tuna, chicken salad or a dip in an atom shape with bell pepper strips for the lines and pimento or grape tomatoes for the round parts). I've done two salads and a dip in a snowman shape before, and I think you could do them in a beaker shape. Shape one sald onthe bottom (on a tray)  then the next above it and then one above it.

I'll have to think about this some more, but I can see it coming together and being lots of fun.
