| I'm worried that fruit will be expensive for the day's snack. Anyone come up with an alternative for Day 5?

| Be careful of M&Ms and anyone with a peanut allergy. M&M packs say right on their packaging that they are made on the same lines at the peanut M&M's. Someone with a severe allergy would not simply be able to pick out the M&Ms.

| we put food on our donations board so its not an expense that our vbs has to pay. if we need say 12 apples we put that on the donation list. i usually grab a lot of donation slips and then hit the dollar stores and other stores.

| | We have rented a cotton candy machine for Day 5. We will still be calling it Faith on Fire, as it will be pink cotton candy. I was not only concerned about the cost, but the labor intensity for my volunteers. We generally prepare 275 snacks, so that's a LOT of fruit to cut up. |

| | I was thinking the same thing and it just came to me sitting here reading your post. Gummy Snacks! We could use red ,yellow and orange ones! If you have a candy store that sells the larger size swedish fish in various colors it might work. Even alternating with those and (fruit by the foot) fruit snacks cut into strips also. I know it comes in red and may even come in orange and yellow. Walmart has bags of those small gummies that are very inexpensive also. Just turn them on their side or face down on the plate. I hope this works for us! |

| | We will be using canned fruit tail. Might not be as bright as fresh fruit. We should have extra cherries from our sink or floats to add some extra color. |

| | We're probably going to use canned fruit, most likely mandarin oranges because they are usually small enough that we won't need to cut them up. |

| | We are using our snacks as dessert, since we serve a full meal each night. I was hoping to either use canned fruit as mentioned or possibly the orange and red (more dark pink) sherbet. Any other dessert type ideas would be appreciated. Blessings,
