| | After many years of experience, with our group anyway, I can say that the kids will leave most of the fruit. When you're talking making it for 200 kids, that's way too much money to throw away. I'm re-using a snack from a previous year (LLI, I think). We'll have ice cream cones with either vanilla or orange sherbet ice cream, with red, yellow and orange sprinkles on top, so it looks like a flame. Here in Florida in late July, that ice cream is a very welcome treat! JOY |

| | I cannot imagine our kids turning down apple slices (or almost any other fruit). They inhale it! Is Fruit tail the same as fruit tail? Oh brother, this forum will not let you post c.o.c.k.t.a.i.l |

| | When looking through the material we were less than thrilled with the thought of how much day 5 was going to cost us so we are taking a few suggestions from these forums and making our own trail mix. It went over so well with everyone last year that we thought we would try it again this year. We have goldfish, honey not Cheerios, Mike & Ike candies (taking out the green ones), pretzels and the left over M&Ms from Monday. I think the kids will really enjoy it and less mess to try to clean up. |
