We have been looking for a new pastor for several months now.  We are a small church and we share our pastor with the church in the next town.  Our church elders have been doing a wonderful job of bringing in guest speakers or giving the sermons themselves but it has been long enough now that we really need to have someone placed in the job full time.  I am also hoping whoever is selected will be helpful with our VBS program.  It would be wonderful to have someone as addicted to VBS as the members of this board....as long as they are Groupies   Your prayers would be appreciated.  Thank you!

I am praying not only that you find a pastor, but that it is the right one for your church at this time.

God has a person in mind.  I pray he brings him to your church in His timing...and that His timing would be SOON!

Oh, it's so hard for me to be patient!  Hang in there!  I will pray!

It is good in a way that you have not rushed into this. I have witnessed far too many churches being dissapointed because they did not allow God to bring the right man in his time, but I also the importance of having a godly shepherd in place. I always praise God because all the senior pastors I have worked under have had a vision and burden for children. Any Children's Ministry Pastor or Director knows how EXTREMELY important this is. I too will pray that a new pastor and that whoever is installed will have a heart for VBS. After all, VBS is an evangelsitic outreach which can bless every other minsitry.

Partnering with parents to "TRAIN" up our children in the way they should go!

Our church was looking for a new pastor when I started (summer 2004).  We found one I believe it was that August.  He fits in wonderfully.  He also made it very easy to become a real part of the church.  You see I wasn't involved in church at all.  It wasn't part of my growing up either.\

I hope your church has the blessing of finding the right pastor in a short time.  Remember you will find the answers in pray.

Not to be in any way discouraging, but you should be aware that it takes, on average 18 months to fill a pastor position. We looked for 19 months, our search committee caved to the pressure from the congregation and called a pastor who has now halved the size of our congregation, with more leaving monthly. We were doing fine with different elders and guest speakers - I guess the moral of the story is don't rush this decision! JOY

I will pray for this position to be filled by a Godly man and your church remain unified in Him.

Blessings,
