Hey ya'll.
I just realized today that there is a prayer section, and I am in some great need of prayers!

For the past year I have been unemployed - during this time I have been the volunteer director of youth ministries at our church. This past week I have had 2 job interviews. I pray that God's plan for me includes a job! I am supposed to hear back by the end of the week for a job that I would love to have! Please pray, if it be God's will, that I am offered this position. I have a HUGE amount of faith in God's plan for me but my bank accounds are starting to deplat to the point that I cannot live.

Blessings to all of you!
Annie

Hi Annie,

I am praying for you that God opens the way to the job he has in mind for you. I was the same way when I started on the forum I read the main sections and never got down to the bottom of the page. One day God lead me to this area andI have been blest since. I read the prayer request and feel a closeness to that person or family and want to know how they are doing days, weeks or months later. I know many others on the forum feel the same way. You are not alone.

God Bless,

Riverside Kathy

You sound like me.  I often say that my job gets in the way of my life.  I really do love my job but I do see how it takes away time from my volunteer work (and I only work 4 hr days ).   6 years ago I lost my job when the office I worked at was closed.  Those three months before I found another job where wonderful.   I took the time to write a Christmas Program for our Sunday School.   I have soooo much I want to do and be involved with.  However, you need to be responsible to pay your bills so jobs are a part of life.

Somehow, when you want to be involved and get things done, you do find the time.  And with any time schedule you have, you will have to sacrifice something.  You just do the best you have with what you have.   If God leads you to it, He will get you through it and that goes for the good times also (like volunteer duties).

So, do what you need to pay your bills and keep your heart open for God's work for you.

God bless you and I hope you love your new job as much as I love mine.
