Love the hula hoop atoms too, but where do you get the balls?  Are they plastic? I saw the video, those looked like soft plastic....any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They can be found at Walmart (50 for $10). You can also get them at a few toy stores. They are the playpen balls used in many netted games and in the play areas of fast foods like McDonalds and BK. You can also get them online form Rhodeislandnovelties.com. They sell 100 balls for $13.20. The direct link to the balls are on my website Dr. B's Lab.

Here's the page on the Dr. B site where pastorjoe has the hula hoop atoms:

Will you please email me the link to your website for directions?  My email is sucompto@vt.edu.  We want to use the hula hoop atoms for our Test Tube Treats area (picnic shelter) since this is an easy way to decorate a large space.  From the decorating video on Groups freebies site, it appears they are using the small plastic balls (which I'm using to make molecules from another suggestion) but your picture appears to use larger balls.  I can't find any larger balls that aren't air-filled.
