Why not advertise LIO for what it is? All-purpose, good for 10 kids or 110, makes getting volunteers SO easy, and that once you try it, you're hooked! Use quotes from all of us here who are so sold on it that we are in such a tizzy because you are not continuing it. Truth be told, if I had not been desperate last summer looking for something for our situation, I would not have even looked at LIO because the ads were so vague. Talk about the Jumpstarts and Countdowns, talk about the video clips that tell the Bible story or bring home the point, talk about the hands-on activities in small groups that let the volunteers really connect with the kids. Don't make it a mystery. You don't do that with anything else you sell!

Oh, one more thing - Bring out the point to all of those millions of Group VBS "Groupies" out there that if they like Group's VBS, how would they like to have a mini-VBS experience every month of the year. THAT would get my attention!

Thanks, Debby! We're working on July ads now (due in a week, believe it or not), so we'll see what we can do!

Blessings!

I, too, think they are a bit light on information.  Granted, the best way to get info is to call Group for a sample or go to the website.  However, as I've been researching curriculum lately, I've looked at a lot of ads. For those that seem to miss critical things I often wonder if that is a representation of how helpful their lesson plans are.  Just something to ponder...

I would highlight...format (large group/small group), use of media (bible stories in particular as well as music), flexibility (for example it is great to have options to chose from based on your "crowd"), family connection piece and age span (preschool - elementary).  There are lots more things I look for but these would grab me.

Oh and of course the whole Living Inside Out concept of living your faith out.
